Welcome to
Rustic Silver Labs!
Story of how we began!!
My husband and I were married in 2007, we bought a house in the country and you know what happens when you buy a house, you look into getting a four legged critter! We both grew up with dogs, but we knew we wanted something unique that would stand out. So, we started doing our research. We found labs with this unique color, charcoal. We were instantly in love with these dogs. We bought Sir Rhinoceros in late 2007.
Through friends the word was out of our well mannered, beautiful new dog. That's when the calls started about studding. In 2009 he sired his first litter. He has sired many litters since then. So, how did we get involved in actually breeding these wonderful animals ourselves. While, living next to a pheasant preserve and avid hunters, we wanted to purchase a female we felt would succeed in upland game hunting. As luck would have it, Rogue has matured into what most upland game hunters say, "The best they have ever seen." Through out her hunting adventures, many fellow hunters asked us when or if they could get one of her puppies. Since then she has produced many litters. In 2020 she retired to the life of luxury on a lake. We now have 2 other females from similar blood lines. Who have matured into outstanding hunters also.
With all that being said, It just happened that our children are now at an age where they can help with the responsibility of taking care of puppies. They also can help with the day to day care of all the dogs. The most important part that they truly love is the cuddle time.
We do not have dogs just to produce puppies. We have them to help teach our children responsibility and enjoy every aspect of the Labrador. "Best Friend, hunting partner, and our children's favorite past time."
This is where I will explain the difference between these two body types of labs. You can't go wrong with either, both will be the best friend you and your family are looking for!
